Thursday 7th April is World Health Day, a day celebrated annually with each year drawing attention to a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world.

On World Health Day 2022, we will focus global attention on the urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy and foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being.

 The World Health Organization estimates that more than 13 million deaths around the world each year are due to avoidable environmental causes, including flooding, and lack of sanitation facilities and clean water. 

The Journal of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Development is an Open Access peer-reviewed journal devoted to the dissemination of high-quality information on the science, policy and practice of drinking-water supply, sanitation and hygiene at local, national and international levels. It emphasizes issues of concern in developing and middle-income countries and in disadvantaged communities world-wide, such as sanitation implementation, hygiene concerns, water supply, and international policy. Journal of Water and Climate Change is an Open Access journal that publishes novel peer-reviewed research and practitioner papers on all aspects of water science, technology, management, and innovation in response to climate change. The journal's scope includes articles relating climate change to extreme events (floods, rainstorms, droughts, temperature), water supply, wastewater, and waterborne diseases.
