This year will be the 14th Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies (LET 2017). Why is this event important?
Because traditional approaches or current technologies may be out of date to properly tackle wastewater issues especially in developing countries, it is a timely event that emphasizes “innovative” technological solutions in the LET 2017 Conference which co-incides with the newly-launched SDGs that have a priority on safe accesses to water and sanitation.
This year, LET 2017 is dedicated to technology solutions in the water-energy-food interface. What do you think/hope this will achieve?
Apart from technological innovations for water and wastewater treatment to be expected from the LET 2017, we wish to learn of advancements in resource recovery processes and reuse/recycling technologies for the treatment by-products.
What, for you, has been the most significant or exciting development in water and wastewater technologies in recent years?
The most exciting development for us is about the increasing efforts in inventing technologies for fecal sludge treatment and management with great consideration of resource recovery through decentralized management approach.
